AIM - Angel Investors Marlborough

Business Trust Marlborough is proud to be associated with Angel Investors Marlborough, a group of locally based seasoned investors, business people and entrepreneurs. Angel investors play a key role in early stage (as well as post-revenue) businesses, by providing capital, expertise and contacts to start up and/or growth businesses.

Investment Application

AIM members will consider investing in businesses from a range of industry sectors in the early or growth stages of business. The key factors AIM look for in businesses they invest in are:

  • Scalability
  • Unique product/service
  • Preferably Marlborough but will also consider other NZ and international opportunities
  • Capable and aspirational founder who understands the value of and needs of investors

Joining AIM

If you would qualify as a wholesale investor (per Schedule 1 of the FMCA) and are interested in becoming an angel investor we would love to hear from you. AIM is following a well-proven model already established by similar angel groups elsewhere in NZ. Angel investors normally participate alongside other similar investors and thereby spread the investment risk. Whilst you need to be willing to seriously consider opportunities as they arise, there is no pressure or requirement to invest either in a particular investment or any minimum total over time. AIM is an incorporated society run by its members for the benefit of its members with an annual membership fee of $395.
